Born and raised in the Northeast, Cynthia originally set out to be a fashion designer. She attended the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City before deciding to further pursue her education in Art History and Interior Design on the West Coast. Cynthia’s wanderlust for life inspired her to travel the world. She has lived in some of her country’s most beautiful places, including Newport Beach, California, Maui Hawaii, Aspen, Colorado, New Orleans Louisiana, St John’s Virgin Islands and most recently Westport Connecticut. She discovered her true home in San Miguel de Allende where she has resided for the past twelve years with her two locally rescued cats. After many years of being in the art world, the pinnacle of her art career came when partnering with gallerist Kamil from Monte Carlo where she worked amongst avant garde European artists. Cynthia then turned to representing and managing luxury retail businesses, including Swiss Watchmaking Company Franck Muller, Madison Avenue’s Fred Leighton Jeweler to the Stars and then successfully launching Paris Underground Antiques, Aspen before opening her own Mid-Century and design shop in New Orleans “What Modern Was.” Naturally combining her passion for architecture, design and her finely honed people skills was the inspiration behind yet another career move as a licensed real estate agent in Aspen, thus allowing her the freedom to continue traveling and writing. Cynthia’s enthusiasm and zest shines through in her work and remains her focus in helping others. She volunteers at the Bibliotecia, a cherished institution in San Miguel de Allende, which brings education and scholarships to local underprivileged children. Cynthia shares her wealth of design, luxury sales and real estate experience with her clients here in Mexico. Whether it’s a property negotiation, being sensitive to her buyer’s needs or sellers requiring advice on how to prepare their home for selling, Cynthia is there offering her expertise and never ending energy and support to realize their real estate goals.
