Los Garambullos is a property that is 18 km from San Miguel de Allende, by a direct road (15 minutes by car), 2 km from the town of Los Rodríguez (with all the local shops) and 20 km from the direct access to the Highway to San Luis Potosí.

The house occupies an area of 3.15 hectares in a place of virgin nature, without any unsightly view and in perfect calm. The entire property is fenced.

It was designed by two famous French landscape architects and great travelers, Eric Ossart and Arnaud Maurieres

On the hillside, facing an impressive landscape, the house, built in a contemporary style that evokes the architecture of Luis Barragán, is accessible on foot through a natural meadow, transformed into a garden by a set of terraces and stone stairs, or by drive down a traditional pebble driveway, which leads to the garage and then to the main entrance of the house.

The main façade, made of volcanic stone, looks towards the rising sun and the hills covered with dense vegetation. Throughout its extension, a large terrace and a 30 m long pool are placed as a balcony facing the landscape.

The entrance, to the south, shares a first main building with two bedrooms, with a dressing room, office area, bathroom and toilet.

The main body is very simple and offers unusual volumes. A very large living room is organized under a 5 meter high ceiling: the living room with a large fireplace, is dominated by a large Central Asian silk embroidery and African stairs; the dining room in black volcanic stone is drawn like a real sculpture in the center of the room and a very functional kitchen opens onto a patio with an outdoor countertop and an adjoining laundry room.

The portico is used mainly as a dining room. It is the pretext for the display of four large antique Berber doors and offers the comfort of a large bench and a solid wood table that seats a dozen guests.

A corridor between a stone wall and large shelves that presents a collection of Mediterranean and Mexican rural ceramics runs through the eastern façade that leads to a large bathroom / dressing room in black stone. There, a collection of oriental brass and Anatolian kilims on the wall add an oriental charm reminiscent of hammams. Down the hall, the master bedroom benefits from similar décor and opens onto a very private terrace that illuminates the morning sun. In this large living room with fireplace, a library area also hides a large screen in front of which thick wool rugs invite you to languish.

Each room is equipped with either a built-in Rinai gas heater or a fireplace. The climate of San Miguel and the natural ventilation of the buildings do without any artificial air conditioning. The pool is heated by a solar system that covers the entire roof of the main building of the house. Hot water is supplied by a gas heater. The house has a laundry room with a sink and a washing machine, in addition to a storage room.
